The Three Vehicles of Buddhism: The Second Turning
Tuesdays, April 30 – June 4, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Two senior students are the discussion leaders for current classes at KSC. Under their guidance, meditations and contemplations are considered each week, based on the pre-recorded DVD teachings of Lama Pema and Lama Yeshe, which will be shown at each class.
The Spring class will be The Three Vehicles of Buddhism: The Second Turning, which emphasizes the Bodhisattva Path of cultivating the awakened heart and mind (bodhicitta), and acting to benefit all sentient beings. To deepen one’s loving kindness and compassion, as well as to explore the wisdom of emptiness, students will receive an introduction to The Six Paramitas (transcendent courageous actions), Lojong (Mind Training and the Tonglen meditation), and the selflessness of phenomena.
All are welcome, as there are no prerequisites to this class.
Tuition: $145 ($125 for those paying $30/month or more in membership) Scholarships available. Register online at firstname.lastname@example.org Registration is required to attend the class.
