Refuge Ceremony

Introduction and Refuge Vow Ceremony │Thursday, May 10 & 17, 6 pm

The Refuge Vow is the first step onto the Buddhist path. It is a statement of confidence in the Buddhist tools and path, as well as a statement of aspiration for one’s own awakening.

On Thursday, May 10 the Lamas will lead a brief Calm Abiding meditation and then introduce the supports for the vow. There will be time for questions. Those who wish to take the vow should be present on Thursday, May 17 when the Lamas will lead a brief Calm Abiding meditation, followed by the Refuge Vow Ceremony. Everyone is welcome to attend both evenings.
