For many years, we have marked Losar with the Mahakala practice of protection, accompanied by a food offering and much celebration in the center’s sanctuary. The practice clears obstacles of the past year, and thus makes way for a fresh start in the new year.
As we did in 2021, we will offer Zoom Mahakala in the sanctuary, during which the sangha is invited to do kora (circumambulation around the center) to the sound of the lamas’ chanting via the outdoor sound system.
There will be a simple shrine set up outside the double red doors, and a table of simple gifts for all, as well as a table for food donations.
All are encouraged to bring nonperishable foods to benefit Access, as a way to plant the seed of generosity and beneficial action for the new year.
A Happy Tibetan New Year to all! Contact our office, office@kscashland.org for link if attending via Zoom.
